2021 PHC WESTERN REGION
The Western Region is situated in the southern part of Ghana, extending from the Ivory Coast (ComoƩ District) in the western border to the Central region in the east. This region encompasses the capital and significant twin city of Sekondi-Takoradi along the coast, coastal Axim, and an elevated inland area that includes Elubo. Notably, it houses Cape Three Points, the southernmost point of Ghana, where a significant discovery of crude oil in commercial quantities was made in June 2007. The geographical expanse of the region covers 13,842 square kilometers.
