Awutu Senya East successfully inaugurates Assembly Members
The President Representative of Awutu Senya East Hon Anita Love Obo Amissah together with the Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon Kobina Tahir Hammond (MP), and the High Court Judge His Lordship Justice Alexander Oworae, inaugurated the elected and appointed Assembly members as well as the Unit Committee members on Monday 12th February, 2024 at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly.

In her address, the MCE said "One of the major objectives of the Local Government Reform and Decentralization Programmes is to decentralize state power in a manner that would create the opportunity for the majority of Ghanaians to take part in decision making".

She urged them to make constructive and meaningful contributions thereby helping in the development of Awutu Senya East.

Hon Anita Love Obo Amissah also pledged to continuously work closely with the Member of Parliament Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson to alleviate the challenges that confront the people and to bring development to the Municipality.

ELECTION OF PM

The team also supervised the election of a Presiding Member to lead the affairs of the house.

Jones Kwarteng was re-elected for the 3rd time to steer the affairs of the business of the house.



He pulled 19 votes against 1 spoilt paper.

The brief ceremony had in attendance Hon. K. T. Hammond (Member of Parliament), the MCE, heads of departments and agencies, staff of the Assembly and the general public.
