MP supports tertiary students

The Member of Parliament for Walewale constituency Hajia Lariba Abudu has offered over 30,000.00 Ghana cedis financial assistance to 32 tertiary students in their quest to pursue higher education.

The beneficiaries who are brilliant but needy students include fresh and continuing students studying various courses at the tertiary level.

Mr. Issahaku Arimeyaw Somo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Mamprusi who made the donation on behalf of the MP said the gesture seeks to ease the burden on parents of the beneficiary students.

He emphasised that education must be balanced and accessible to all regardless of one’s status in society whether rich or poor, privileged or handicapped or able or disabled adding that money should not be a barrier to denying any child access to education and that no brilliant but needy child will be left behind in the West Mamprusi Municipality.
