Kintampo Municipality Celebrates 67th Independence Day
The Kintampo Municipal Assembly has held its 67th Independence Day parade at the College of Health in Kintampo.

The colorful independence parade this year brought a lot of people from all walks of life to witness the remarkable Day in the history of Ghana and Kintampo Municipality.

Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fri-Frans, delivering his speech was very grateful to Kintampo Municipal Education Directorate for giving his Foundation the opportunity to providing unwavering support to ensure the success of this day and as the CEO to help encourage some outstanding teachers.

He stated that this gesture is to recognize the excellence of those wonderful transformation powers of teachers in our society of Kintampo and to his own people.
Teachers have remarkable ability to restore hope where there is despair, to ignite the flames of curiosity in the minds of their students and to instill within them the belief that they can achieve greatness.

He said some teachers in the classrooms witness an extraordinary impact by recognizing the sacrifices they make, the challenges they overcome and the countless lives they touch each and every day which goes above and beyond their call of duty, he added in his address with passion.

“You are the unsung heroes of our society, your dedication, your passion and your unwavering commitments to excellence inspire us all. Your teachers have the power to change lives, to shape destinies and to leave an indelible mark on the world” he concluded.

He used the opportunity to award some outstanding and hardworking teachers in the Municipality.

On the part of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kintampo Municipal, Mr.Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw stated in his address, another major milestone in the history of Ghana has been remembered once again which is the independence of our country Ghana and achievements didn’t come easily on a silver platter.


Ghana has been built by our farmers, the youth, teachers, nurses, medical practitioners, security force amongst others. Education Director Kintampo, MCE and the Municipal Police Commander received the salute.

The Theme for this year’s “Our Democracy Our Pride” summarizes the spirit of our nation- a spirit that has weathered storms, overcome challenges and emerged stronger with each passing year.

“Our democracy is not just a system of governance but a source of pride for us and for 67 years since independence we have remained steadfast in our commitment to democracy, the rule of law, decentralization and effective citizen participation” he said.

He ended by outlining some support given to the Kintampo Municipal education sector in the municipality, and advised the youth that this election year, all should refrain from engaging in activities that could disrupt the peace and stability of our country and Kintampo at large.

Awards were also given to schools who take part in the March pass from first to third position according to Primary, Junior High School and Secondary.
