The figures represent 100.4 percent of the Eleven million Eight Hundred and Fifty-Two Thousand and Sixty Seven Ghana Cedis (11,852,767.00) of the estimated amount for the year 2022.

Delivering his keynote address at its first ordinary meeting, the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Solomon Kotey Nikoi, lauded Management of the Assembly for putting in much effort to exceed its revenue target for the year notwithstanding the negative impact of the twin effect of the global pandemic and the Russian-Ukraine war on businesses.

The MCE was of the view that strong performance of the Assembly only hinged on its ability to generate more revenue through the implementation of Revenue Improvement Action Plan (RIAP), continuous update of existing data, innovative collector mechanisms and the establishment of additional revenue points.

He seized the opportunity to applaud the Management Information System (MIS), Budget and Finance departments of the Assembly for working diligently to build a robust database which aided its revenue mobilization exercise.

Meanwhile, Mr Kotey Nikoi, who was also reacting to some pragmatic and innovative approach to help manage waste in the area, noted that regular clean up exercises are being undertaken to help keep the municipality clean at all times.

He added that the Assembly is also keenly collaborating with Ghana’s waste management giants, Zoomlion to donate dustbins to various households and also engaged in constant street sweeping exercises to help promote proper sanitation in the area.
