His Lordship Justice Anin-Yeboah indicated that since 1992, the judiciary has tried to improve access to justice across the country adding that the inauguration is part of the effort to deal with the poor state of the physical infrastructure, which had over the years militated against effective operations of the court.

He advised people not to rush to the Court to seek redress at the slightest opportunity to overburden the judges and magistrate with avoidable caseload.

The District Chief Executive, Christian Adu Poku expressed joy for the newly built court house. He stated that the court house is more than a physical structure because it represents the ideals that every modern society should clearly hold on, that is justice, quality and fair hearing to all persons.

He added that the new court cannot be overestimated because of the challenges the old one posed to the administration of justice in the district.

Mr. Adu Poku appealed for the old court house to be converted into a District Fire Service Station and again appealed to the common fund secretariat to provide a back- up electricity plant to the District Assembly Complex.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah on his part extended hands of appreciation to the Chief Justice for his good work.

He stated that, in the current democratic dispensation, the foundation of every democracy is the rule of law and you cannot have this in a country where the judiciary is accommodated in dilapidated structures which will not encourage and promote an effective and efficient judicial system.

The minister commended the president of the republic of Ghana who has supported the Chief Justice and the administration of the District Assembly Common Fund for making resources available.

Nana Kwabena Adjei, Kontihene of Kodie praised the Chief Justice and the District Assembly for providing a decent and safe environment for justice delivery and urged the public and staff of the judicial service at the court to practice good maintenance culture to help preserve the court for posterity use.
