DCE distributes 35,000 free coconut seedlings to farmers

Dormaa West District Chief Executive, Francis Kwadwo Oppong and the District Assembly have acquired 35,000 coconut seedlings for farmers in the area.

This initiative aligns with the government's planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD) policy.

In addition to the 35,000 seedlings, Hon. Francis Kwadwo Oppong had previously donated 7,000 seedlings.

The aim of this initiative is to promote agricultural development in the district and support farmers in the cultivation of coconuts for export and rural development.

The procurement of the seedlings by the District Assembly demonstrates their commitment to the growth and success of the agricultural sector in the area.

Hon. Francis Kwadwo Oppong advised the farmers to take advantage of this intervention. He said that in collaboration with the District Agricultural officers, they will go round to monitor the progress of the various farms.
