Assembly hands over 800 dual desks to education directorate
The District Chief Executive for Agona East in the Central Region, Janet Odei Paintsil has handed over eight hundred (800) dual desks to the education Directorate to enhance teaching and learning in the District.

In handing over the furniture to the schools through the Agona East Education Directorate at the forecourt of the assembly old office block, the DCE said that the furniture are to be distributed to needy schools with the aim of providing sufficient furniture for an enhanced standard of education in the district.


She commended president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo for the effort and continuous support to help enhance quality education in the district.

She urged the Ghana Education Service to ensure that the beneficiary schools made effective use and proper maintenance of the furniture for a longer duration.


Mr. Thomas Kwofie, District Director of Education who received the furniture commended the District Chief Executive and the assembly for the kind of gesture and pledged that the district education directorate would ensure that management of the beneficiary schools comply with strict maintenance culture of the furniture.


He, however, suggested to some of the teachers present to appoint pupils in their various schools as furniture prefects to assist the school management in monitoring the proper use and maintenance of the furniture.
