Saboba District Assembly Observes Green Ghana Day
The Saboba District Assembly fully complied and participated in the Green Ghana Day activities.

The Assembly distributed some fifteen thousand (15,000) seedlings to a number of interest groups for planting at various places in the district.

Among the groups are basic schools, the three second cycle schools in the district including Saboba E.P Senior high, St Joseph Technical School, and Wapule Community Day Senior High School.

Others include religious bodies and individuals.

The District Chief Executive and members of the Assembly were not left out in the exercise either.

The 2022 edition of the Green Ghana Day was launched on 1st March, 2022 by the President of the Republic under the theme “Mobilizing for a Greener Future” with a target to plant at least 20 million tree seedlings on the 2022 Green Ghana Day.

Green Ghana Day is a national afforestation/reforestation programme to restore the lost forest cover of Ghana and to contribute to the global effort to mitigate climate change.
