In view of the above, the Ga Central Municipal Assembly has in a brief but significant ceremony taken possession of a stalled construction on a classroom block and given out on contract, for the re-construction into an ultramodern six-unit classroom block.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bashiru Kamara, MCE for Ga Central recounted moments when the team from the assembly visited the school in the year, 2022 during ‘My first day at school’ exercise and had promised the headteacher of the Abeka Motorway Basic School that the stalled project would be completed for the benefit of the school children. He was optimistic that the contractor would deliver on the estimated time for completion.

Mr. Bashiru touted the government's achievement in the educational sector and its resolve in promoting quality and accessible education for children of school going age.
The Assembly member for Nii Okaiman East, Charles Oteng, also praised the MCE and the assembly for the initiative. He said he was happy that the project will finally receive a facelift.

He pleaded with the MCE to consider erecting a new toilet facility for the school and also speed rumps on the road leading to the school since it has so many maneuverings.

The Municipal Works Engineer, Frederick O. Sackey, handed over the project site to the contractor and admonished him to follow the laid down terms in the signed contract.

He also advised that safety protocols for both workers on site and school children are observed to avoid any accidents.
