DCE distributes 316,000 cocoa seedlings to farmers in three communities

The District Chief Executive of Techiman North, Everson Addo-Donkor has distributed about 316,000 Cocoa Seedlings and 10,000 Economic Trees to some 1250 farmers.

This is in fulfillment of government flagship programme planting for Exports and Rural Development (PERD) in the district. The three communities includes; Aworowa,Krobo and Buoyem respectively.

In a short ceremony during the distribution the DCE encouraged more youth to venture into agriculture.

The selection of the aforementioned three communities was as a result of the vegetation of the area while other breeds of Seedlings have been given to other farmers in various communities who have benefited from the programme after its introduction in the first term of Nana Addo's led NPP.

710 farmers from Aworowa received 146,000 cocoa Seedlings and 4,500 Economic Trees (framoo),305 farmers from Krobo took delivery of 9200 Seedlings and 2000 economic Trees whiles 78,000 Seedlings and 3500 economic Trees where distributed to 235 farmers at Buoyem.
