New Accommodation for health workers

The District Chief Executive for Mpohor in the Western region, Ignatius Asaah Mensah has indicated that the Assembly is putting conscious efforts in place to ensure that the living condition of health workers in the area is improved.

The DCE said this when he together with some top Assembly officials inspected a newly completed bungalow for doctors and other health Assistants in the district.

But for the intervention, doctors and nurses who were posted to the district had no permanent accommodation or place of stay hence affecting effective and efficient delivery of health service.

However, speaking in an interview with Ghanadistrict.com after the inspection, Mr Asaah Mensah described the intervention as a major boost in the health sector, with the hope that the move will go a long way to bring quality health to the doorsteps of the people.

He therefore used the opportunity to appeal to health workers to see this intervention as a form of motivation to work hard and save more lives.

He also called on them to ensure proper maintenance to help prolong the life-span of the facility.
