New Juaben North Assembly holds staff durbar
The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has held its maiden staff durbar for the year 2020 at the forecourt of the Assembly.

The durbar held sort to introduce the New Municipal Coordinating Director, discuss staff punctuality to work, work ethics, and staff welfare among others.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Assembly, Hon. Comfort Asante in an address welcomed everyone and said it is her privilege to have such gathering which enables Management to interact with staff. She urged all to take part in these fruitful interactions sharing issues with regards to the Assembly.



The MCE explained that the gathering was to help management know the success and challenges of staff. Hon. Comfort Asante urged staff to be committed to their jobs and discharge their duties diligently.

She informed the meeting that, the former MCD, Mr. Hayford Kyere has been transferred to the Bono Region and in place of him is Alhaji Ibrahim Tijani.

She pleaded that staff accord the same respect they gave the former Director to this new one by keeping the spirit of teamwork.

In response, the Coordinating Director, Alhaji Ibrahim Tijani thanked the MCE and her staff for such a warm welcome and spoke of his impression with attendance and punctuality of staff so far.



The Municipal Coordinating Director touched on some key issues that have been bothering him ever since he resumed office. He lamented on how some staff consistently come to work late while others do not show up at all. He stressed that the working time is 8 am and not 9 am.

He stressed that all staff should maximize their working efforts within the Assembly and also encouraged teamwork. His involvement with the staff will yield the Assembly a pass mark in the comings Departmental Assessment, he added.

He concluded that there is a hierarchical order of offices in this Assembly and must be respected as such. He urged all departmental heads to take control of their departments in order to prevent their subordinates from going wayward.

The staff had the opportunity to ask questions and made suggestions which Management addressed accordingly.
